IT Manager (Long Island City, NY):

Responsible for ensuring the management, and optimal execution of IT related projects in the company, including; security related hardware and software, server back-up maintenance, computer hardware set up and maintenance, maintenance and update of cost analysis/estimation software, related website development and updates to accommodate the company's evolving technology needs. Maintain a high-level IT infrastructure with annual software upgrades and license renewals. Prepare of contingency plans for managing any potential IT crisis. Research and evaluate new technologies to be used as enhancements or upgrades to existing server, network, and other IT infrastructure equipment. Monitor the overall operational and administrative database and network system performance at the company. Collaborate with staff to ensure that user requirements are understood and appropriate technical solutions are developed. Prepare IT reports for senior management.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Instructional Technology, Computer Science or a closely related field. 1 year exp. in the job offered or as an IT Business Analyst is req’d. Foreman:
At least 10 years of experience with extensive knowledge of ground-up residential and hotel construction

  • Have knowledge of current NEC and NYC codes and safety requirements
  • Provide reports to management
  • Oversee toolbox and pre-shift meetings
  • Coordinate efforts with GC/CM
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic LV and FA knowledge is a must
  • Being able to manage onsite crew with little supervision

 

Mechanic:
At least 5 years of electrical experience with intermediate knowledge of ground-up residential and hotel construction

  • Have knowledge of current NEC and NYC codes and safety requirements
  • Provide basic reports to supervisor
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • LV and FA knowledge is a plus
  • Being able to manage crews up to 5 people with little or no supervision.

 

Jr. Mechanic:
2-3 years of experience with basic knowledge of ground-up residential and hotel construction

  • Have basic knowledge of current NEC and NYC codes and safety requirements
  • Basic ability to read blueprints
  • Desire to learn and improve trade knowledge

 

Helper:
0-2 years of experience in the electrical trade with basic knowledge of construction. Recent graduates with no field experience are welcome.

  • Basic knowledge of current NEC and NYC codes and safety requirements is a plus
  • Basic ability to read blueprints is a plus
  • Desire to learn and improve trade knowledge is a MUST

 

These are full-time (40-hr/wk) positions.

SKF Electric is a non-union company.
